Abstract: When comparing proportions calculated from dependent binary data, one should take into account the correlation between the matched pairs. The purpose is to examine some commonly used statistics under new frameworks and assumptions. In addition, experimental designs and sample size estimation under such circumstances are discussed. Both simulation studies and real-world examples are presented for illustration.
