Title: Mesoscopic dynamics in complex networks: A random matrix perspective

Abstract: Complex networks often display patterns that are neither reducible to node-level fluctuations nor fully captured by global or coarse-grained structure. A random-matrix perspective on such intermediate dynamics in temporal networks is proposed. The mesoscale is treated as a transient dynamical regime, where local interactions have begun to organize but the system has not yet settled into stable large-scale behavior. Random matrix theory provides spectral baselines and diagnostics for identifying when such intermediate patterns are unlikely to be explained by noise alone.
