Authors: Yi-Ju Hung - National Chung Cheng University (Taiwan) [presenting]
Abstract: Patterns and trends of immigration and crime rates in Taiwan are examined using administrative data to construct a county panel dataset that discusses the relationship between the immigration population and local crime rates. Leveraging the TWFE model and instrumental variables, the analysis shows that there is no significant association between the share of the population that is immigrant and local crime rates.
