Title: The problem of aging in soccer

Abstract: The important problem of assessing aging in soccer is considered. The problem relies on tracking data and begins with a review of average aging curves in sport. Then, a new approach is introduced which addresses personal aging curves in soccer, an essential problem of interest which has not been previously addressed. The underlying methods are taken from functional data analysis.
