Title: A study of Mallows model and its variants for rank aggregation Authors:  Chiu-Hsing Weng - National Chengchi University (Taiwan) [presenting]
Abstract: The ranking is crucial in a wide range of areas. Rank aggregation is to provide a better ranking by combining information from multiple ranking lists. The Mallows rank model is a popular model for rank aggregation. It is a distance-based model that assumes a central ranking, and the probability of a particular ranking is inversely proportional to its distance to the central ranking. The Mallows rank model has been extended and modified in many ways. The aim is to investigate some stability issues and provide measures against possible instability.
