Abstract: The purpose is to investigate the relationship between psychological aspects of speech and depression, specifically focusing on the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II). Interview speech audio is analyzed to explore textual data through emotional analysis. The psychological aspect is investigated by analyzing the emotional content of speech using a CVAW dictionary. The analysis shows a significant difference in VA scores for BDI and FR, suggesting that these scores can effectively classify BDI and FR groups into high and low categories. Evidence that emotional analysis can provide a comprehensive understanding of individual mental health status is provided. The approach not only enhances the detection of depressive symptoms but also offers directions for further interventions for individuals at risk of depression.
