Abstract: Classical Monte Carlo estimates expectations through repeated sampling and averaging. With access to a quantum computer, users can achieve a quadratic speedup using quantum amplitude estimation. Background of quantum algorithms is provided, especially those relevant to Monte Carlo estimation. Then, the new quantum-inside-quantum Monte Carlo algorithm for nested expectations is covered.
