Title: Advances in complex-valued covariance modeling
Authors: Sandra De Iaco - University of Salento (Italy) [presenting]
Abstract: As in the real case, the construction of new classes of spatial or spatio-temporal complex covariance models is of sure interest for the scientific community. This is especially for some applied fields where vector data, such as wind or sea currents, might deserve attention for their connections with transport of nutrients and pollutants, as well as with marine plants/animals and biodiversity. Vector data are naturally characterized by two components (direction and speed) and their representation in a complex domain is reasonable. Thus, some advances in complex covariance modeling and an application to environmental data are presented. -Funding-National Biodiversity Future Center-NBFC, Spoke 4, Activity4.1, sub activity 4.1.1.
