Abstract: The purpose is to offer a comparative analysis of the living conditions of households in three different regions of Italy: Lombardy, Tuscany and Campania. Each of these regions exemplifies the different quality of life and living conditions typical of the North, Centre and South of the country, respectively. The research makes use of data from a new sample survey conducted in 2024. 2024, as part of the PRIN 2022 PNRR project entitled "MYPEOPLE: Measuring inequality, poverty and living conditions for local strategy planning". The primary objective is to assess and compare the vulnerability of households in these regions using a multidimensional and fuzzy approach. This approach allows for the analysis of multiple dimensions of vulnerability, including economic stability, working conditions, education and social inclusion, thus providing a complete picture of living conditions in Lombardy, Tuscany and Campania. The fuzzy aspect of the framework helps manage the inherent uncertainty of the phenomenon under investigation, providing a more nuanced understanding of household well-being. The results are expected to offer valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners involved in planning and implementing local strategies that address specific dimensions of vulnerability to improve living conditions and reduce inequalities.
