Abstract: The purpose is to investigate estimation in the Cox proportional hazards model from matched health databases. The situation where the explanatory variables and individual lifetimes are not reported in the same database is considered. A prior process of probabilistic record linkage is therefore necessary to obtain a complete database. A partial likelihood equation is proposed that incorporates unobserved variables whose distribution is determined by the record linkage process. Parameter estimation was conducted using the EM algorithm. The asymptotic properties of the estimators that are proposed are studied, and their performance is validated through simulations.
