Title: On some bivariate transmuted distribution models

Abstract: Recently, various transmuted probability models have appeared in the literature by transforming a base distribution into its extended counterpart and in some particular models, a theoretical interpretation has been obtained. Bivariate transmuted models are proposed which arise from mixtures of joint order statistics and from certain generalized (stopped-sum) distribution models. Some examples are discussed in detail, and their properties are examined.
