Abstract: The problem of kernel estimation of the regression function of a real valued random variable $Y$ given a functional one $X$ will be considered. We focus on the behavior of the Nadaraya-Watson in the situation where $X$ is with values in a finite dimensional Riemannian submanifold of a Hilbert space. We illustrate our purpose through some real data applications.
