Abstract: Orthogonal Latin hypercube design, as a useful class of Latin hypercube design (LHD), plays a significant role in computer experiments. Two general methods are provided to construct nearly orthogonal LHDs. All column pairs of the generated designs can achieve stratifications on s -s grids when projected onto any two dimensions. Moreover, the designs generated by the second method can achieve stratifications on s-s-s grids in some three dimensions. The second method is further extended to construct nearly orthogonal designs, and the resulting designs enjoy good stratifications in two and three dimensions. Many new designs with good stratifications are constructed and tabulated.
