Title: Analyzing successive knowledge sharing in virtual communities Authors:  Shiu-Wan Hung - National Central University (Taiwan) [presenting]
Abstract: Knowledge-sharing behaviour in 28 virtual communities over three consecutive years. Hierarchical linear modelling was used to test 184 valid respondents. Results showed that longer interaction time among members led to increased norms, trust, and reciprocity, which in turn promoted knowledge-sharing behaviour. Community norms encouraged knowledge sharing in the external environment, while community trust and reciprocity were found to effectively enhance knowledge-receiving and providing behaviour.
