Title: Convergence of controlled branching processes to CBI-processes

Abstract: The aim is to provide a set of sufficient conditions to guarantee the weak convergence of a controlled branching process sequence towards a continuous-time, continuous-state branching process with immigration. By time-scaling and normalizing such a sequence of discrete Markov chains, the weak convergence is demonstrated using the infinitesimal generators of the processes.
