Title: Contingency tables with structural zeros and discrete copulas

Abstract: The connection between contingency table analysis and copulas is analyzed in a discrete framework. The focus is on the impact of structural zeros on the general theory presented in another study based on a new idea of copula models for discrete variables. Through examples, the pros and cons of applying the theory developed by the aforementioned study are investigated, and some open questions for future research are discussed.
