Title: The cube transformation of the left truncated normal distribution Authors:  Awa Ogbonnaya Dike - Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic (Nigeria) [presenting]
Abstract: The $n^th$ power transformation, a general rule to all power transformations, is used to derive the probability density function (pdf), the mean and variance of the cube transformation of the left truncated normal distribution. This was achieved by substituting $n=3$ in the general rule. The results obtained are useful in time series modeling where the error component of a multiplicative time series $et>0$. The real life application of data on crude oil production in Nigeria between 2009 and 2017, gave the regression equation as $LogStdev = 1.34 - 2.15 LogMean$ with $slope =-2.15$ which agrees with the cube transformation as given in the extension of Bartletts transformation table.
