Title: Weighted type I and type II bivariate Polya-Aeppli distributions

Abstract: The theory of the Type I and Type II bivariate Polya-Aeppli distributions is extended to the weighted case by using two different weight functions. This allows for more flexible distributions that can be fitted to bivariate count-valued data. Some properties of the distributions are discussed. The dispersion of the new distributions compared to the existing distributions is also discussed by using the bivariate Fisher index of dispersion.
