Title: Summaries of network characteristics

Abstract: Networks are highly non-Euclidean structures. This makes it difficult to construct appropriate summaries from network data that are interpretable and strongly related to the generating mechanism of the data. We will discuss how to address the summarisation of network data, and blocks to analysis, including computational efficiency. We will also consider repeated network observations, and their appropriate analysis.
